Council of Ministers to go on recess as of December 24th thru January 8th 2019.

~ Civil Servants askes given a deadline to submit pieces of advice.~

PHILIPSBURG:--- Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin has dispatched a memo to all Civil Servants informing them that the deadline to submit pieces of advice for handling will be December 11th, 2018 since the Council of Ministers has taken a decision to go on recess on December 24th thru January 8th, 2019.
According to the memo, Romeo Marlin informed the civil servants that the Council of Ministers will be holding their last meeting on Tuesday, December 18th while the first meeting for 2019 is scheduled for Thursday, January 10th, 2019.
The civil servants were urged to submit their advices no later than December 11th to the Secretariat, especially those that needs decision making by the Council of Ministers.
In light of St. Maarten being in its recovery mode, one would expect that the Council of Ministers especially those that said they were going to work for the people to be available throughout the year especially since they have been on a travelling spree since they took office.
