PHILIPSBURG:--- The Court of First Instance has rejected a director’s bid to suspend his former wife as co-director of Jaijo Enterprises B.V., while ordering the company to pay him a US$34,000 advance toward management compensation.
The October 9 judgment concerns a company whose principal business is maintaining and renting a building on Illidge Road that Landsrecherche has occupied since 2012.
The former spouses each hold 50 percent of the shares and are statutory directors. The claimant performs the daily management duties.
The Court found no basis for suspension: his former wife does not interfere in daily operations, and she has not abused her access to the company bank account.
It accepted US$2,000 monthly as a provisional management fee, rejecting the higher amount sought. Further compensation may be pursued in ordinary proceedings.
The published payment orders contain an apparent date inconsistency: US$34,000 is attributed to May–September 2025, with continuing payments starting in October 2025. Clarify those dates before calculating the covered period.
Each party must bear its own legal costs. The judgment is immediately enforceable.
