MULLET BAY:--- Over the weekend, 39 motivated golfers split up into 13 teams and headed out to Mullet Bay Golf Course to compete in the three-man scramble.
Following a short briefing just before 8 am on the rules specific to this tournament, the teams started at the hole assigned to them to tee off simultaneously following the single burst from a mist horn.
At the end of the morning, when the dust settled, and the carts had returned to the Golf Pro Shop, one and all enjoyed themselves and feasted on beverages and snacks, and that was the moment the winners were announced.
The first prize was won by the team comprised of Chris Gibbons, Marie Gibbons, and Guido Polko, with a net score of 62. The runners up missed winning the tournament by one stroke, the team of Arnaud Dionnet, Fred Boureau and J.B. Lugger scored 63 net. Third place was close as well, with a net score of 64. Net, the Maxwell Thomas, Tony Burns, and Thomas Zorn teams were quite pleased as well.
