CPS says have a COVID-19 Safe Holiday Season by Following Preventive Measures

PHILIPSBURG (DCOMM):--- The Collective Prevention Services (CPS), a department in the Ministry of Public Health, Social Development and Labor (Ministry VSA), said on Tuesday that COVID-19 remains a part of the Sint Maarten community and therefore as families and friends come together this holiday season, they should continue to practice preventive measures.

CPS advises to continue with handwashing for at least two minutes or use hand sanitizer that has at least 60 per cent alcohol.

It is important to continue to wear your mask and to maintain social distancing, practice proper cough and sneeze etiquette. Persons with flu-like symptoms should remain at home until they have recovered.

In addition, proper ventilation is important should you meet indoors, and where possible, hold lunches and dinners outdoors.

Families and friends meeting up this Christmas weekend should keep gatherings small.

Have a safe and healthy holiday season.
