~ Two residents raided, four arrested.~
PHILIPSBURG:--- Police raided the home of the Ottley’s in Sucker Garden early Wednesday morning, SMN News learned that two of the Ottley brothers were detained namely, Malik and Dante Ottley. Police also raided another residence and arrested a male and female as they investigate the mistreatment of a person that works for a carwash.
SMN News further learned that the two young men approached someone that worked at a car wash when they realize that the firearm they had in the vehicle they took to the car wash was stolen. Information provided by relatives of the suspects states that the "person" also stole $2,000.00 that was inside the vehicle he washed. The relative said that the person even admitted to stealing the money via Whatsapp messaging. "It is because of the money that he stole that he received a trashing and because of that homes were raided during the early morning and four persons have been arrested."
SMN News understands that the two brothers mistreated the carwash worker when he could not produce the firearm they claimed was stolen from their vehicle.
A spokesman for the Prosecutors Office Roderick Gouverneur said that in connection with an ongoing investigation into mistreatment, searches have been conducted at two locations in Sucker Garden this morning. At one of the locations a firearm was found and at the other location a part of the firearm. Four people have been arrested. It concerns three men and one woman.
