PHILIPSBURG:----Theatre lovers will be treated to “The wedding chronicles”, a live stage play produced by the brand- new Judah Jubilee Company Foundation. The play will be put on at the Philipsburg Cultural Center on June 1st & 2nd.
This first play entitled “The wedding chronicles” will be centered around one of the most important aspects of family life. The intention is to demonstrate how a wedding & marriage should not be taken lightly today, as its purpose for developing a strong society is fundamental to God’s plan for mankind. The play will feature a mixed cast of experienced as well as novel actors & actresses who will bring this important message to life through their acting talents.
Judah Jubilee Company is a non-profit, faith-based organization. Founded by one of Sint Maarten’s most talented drama artists, Mrs. Jamila Javois, it is a drama production company that will produce plays in combination with the ministry of song and dance as well as mime and spoken word art forms. The objective of the company is to reach St. Maarten/St. Martin as well as other nations for Christ through powerful messages of God’s Love, restoration and his plan of redemption for mankind. The organization is unique in that it will use a blend of various art forms to impact people’s lives. JJC will also focus heavily on the Youth with the provision of classes in drama, arts & vocal training.
Written by Jamilah Javois & Betty Jean-Baptiste, “The wedding chronicles” aims to deliver a powerful message of faith, patience, and following of God’s plan for a better future. This is the first of several plays that will be produced by the Judah Jubilee Company’s. The new foundation consists of the following Board members; Rolando Tobias as President, Diana Augustine-Xavier as Treasurer, Robertine Manuel-Javois as Secretary and Board members Valerie Brazier & Robert Budike.
