Rededication of the New Testament Baptist Church.

ntbc31032019PHILIPSBURG:--- The Pastor and leaders of the New Testament Baptist Church (NTBC), cordially invite the general public to the rededication and celebration service of the Sanctuary located on Cannegieter Street, next to KFC in Philipsburg, on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 from 4.30 pm to 7.00 pm.
The invited guest speaker for this grandeur event is the Reverent Michael Junior George of the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in St. Lucia.

The New Testament Baptist Church was founded and established at its current location in the year 1956 by Brother Robert Mayer. The helm was subsequently turned over to Pastor Charles (Charlie) Vlaun, and then unto Pastor Alwyn Lake, followed by Pastor Wycliffe Smith, the current Minister of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs, and its present Pastor, Nolan Nanton.

As the church’s membership increased, expansion was inevitable, and the building was extended with the addition of the sanctuary upstairs. As the years went by maintenance due to wear and tear was required, and on March 5th, 2017 the leaders of the NTBC took the decision to renovate the sanctuary.
As renovations reached 75% completion, in September of that year Hurricane Irma and Maria applied further devastation to the almost completed renovated building. By the grace of God, the devastated building was repaired with, among others, a reinforced roof, the addition of an elevator to accommodate in particular the elderly and those that are physically challenged and live streaming of the Sunday morning worship services.

The NTBC building has served as a hurricane shelter for the Philipsburg area for many years. It also houses a soup kitchen which provides meals for the less fortunate from Monday to Friday for over 25 years.

It is with gratitude to our Lord Jesus Christ and a heart filled with joy that the leaders of the newly renovated NTBC request your presence at our celebrations and thanksgiving service on Sunday, April 7th, which will be followed by two great inspiring and dynamic services on Monday, April 8th, and Tuesday, April 9th, at 7.00 pm.

The New Testament Baptist Church takes this opportunity to inform its members and the general public that effective Sunday, April 14th, its Sunday worship services will commence at 10.00 am in preference to 11.00 am.
