The second event is the Ramesh Manek Walk-a-thon to ‘End Polio Now’ being held on Saturday, October 22nd starting at Tony’s Air conditioning opposite Carl & Sons in Cole Bay. This walk will take you around the lagoon, leaving Tony’s Air conditioning, onto Welfare Road, across the Causeway, along Union Road and Orange Grove returning to Tony’s Air conditioning. The ticket cost is USD 15.00 and includes breakfast and ‘End Polio Now’ T. shirt, the shirts have been sponsored in part by Reena Manek, Nagico, and Lucky Wholesale. Tickets are available from all Mid Isle members, if you are unable to get a ticket no worries tickets will be available at the venue.

The funds raised from these two events will be tripled, thanks to the 2:1 match by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
