GEBE working on buy back energy now that solar energy on the rise.

PHILIPSBURG:--- The management and Supervisory Board of GEBE are busy discussing various options as to how they could buy back solar energy from persons and or companies that have invested in solar power.
The company has come to the conclusion that they cannot stay behind and not acknowledge that several businesses such as Westin, the Philipsburg Jubilee Library, and government have been working on installing solar panels on schools, therefore, GEBE has to find a way to feed the excess power back into the net meter in order to reduce the cost of electricity.
According to information reaching SMN News, several professionals have applied at GEBE to study the micro-production of solar energy and how it could be fed back to GEBE net meters. However, the government-owned company has not yet taken any decision on who would be awarded the job or if they will put this on a bid. According to well-placed sources, the discussion is in its early stages and no final decision has not been taken.
