PHILIPSBURG:--- The Judge of Instruction decided on July 21 to release the suspect L.M.R. (39) born in Colombia. She was detained on July 18 in connection with the Cactus investigation. This is the investigation into the lifeless body found on July 1 on Arlet Peters Road.
Autopsy revealed that the victim, Pedro Nel Sanchez Triana, also known as ‘Pepe” and born on July 17, 1970 in Colombia died of a crime committed against him. L.M.R. remains a suspect in the ongoing investigation and more arrests in connection with this investigation cannot be excluded.
Investigation in this case furthermore revealed that the car that was found completely burned on June 30 late in the evening in the Oyster Pond area on the French side, belonged to the victim. The Prosecutor’s Office calls on anyone who has information about the victim’s death or his car, to immediately get in contact with the police department by calling 54-22222 ext. 241, 215 (during working hours) and the police tip line # 9300 (anytime).
