WIN Empowering Women to Pursue Degrees at USM.

PHILIPSBURG:--- On Thursday June 16, 2016 (SCELL), The University of St. Martin’s School of Continuing Education & Life-Long Learning supported Women’s Island Network (WIN), founded by SCELL with their “Denim and Diamond” Scholarship Drive at Rhythm & Booze, in Simpson Bay. WIN’s goal for the event was to provide attendees with an enlightening mix and mingle and focus on assisting the women of St. Maarten with pursuing higher education opportunities at USM/UVI. The event was a big success, WIN raised donations for scholarships.
WIN wholeheartedly believes that every woman should feel empowered to further their education. In addition, the women of WIN utilizes their platform and all their events to act as agents and advocates of Gender Equality, to ensure professional opportunities for women are available and are presented on an equal playing field.
Females ages 18-45 who are interested in applying for a WIN scholarship, may apply online at http://scell.usmonline.onl/index.php/memberships/win. The Deadline date for applications is July 30th.
