Holiday Booths – Pilot Program to Bring Christmas to Philipsburg.

PHILIPSBURG:---- To ensure a timely preparation for everyone, all persons wishing to vend along the roadside during the Christmas Season (December 15th, 2025 – January 5th, 2026)
As of November 21st, from 8:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.
Application forms can be picked up at the Department of Economic Licenses on the ground floor of the Government Administration Building, Soualiga Road 1. (Window B)

By November 26th, 2025,up to 12:00 P.M.
Completed application forms can be submitted. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

The following conditions apply to roadside vending:
1. All roadside vendors must conform to the predefined designs of the vending structures (see the bottom of this publication for examples). Vending from tents or other structures is not allowed, and non-compliance may result in the revocation of your permit, as the Ministry of TEATT will enforce.

2. Vendors will be allotted one (1) lot. The vending structure should be at least or close to the size of 4 X 4m (16 m2) and must be painted and/or decorated in red, white, and green, Christmas colors and decor to the permit holder’s taste.

3. To prevent damage to the underground cables, all vending structures must be constructed off-site and transported to the designated vending lot. Furthermore, nothing may be tied or stuck to the trees or lampposts at the vending locations. Non-compliance may result in the revocation of the permit.

4. Chopping, cutting, and driving nails in trees and/or placing any BBQ grill under or around the trees is not permitted.

5. Vending is only allowed within the following area:
a. Along the parking lot between Ketty’s Kitchen and Fat Boy’s Grill.
b. Sale of predominantly Christmas Food, Beverages, and Crafts is expected during this time.

6. An area of three (3) meters must remain between the sidewalk and the booth (in the area mentioned under 5a) or between the roadside and the booth (in the area mentioned under 5b). Chairs and tables may be placed within those three (3) meters. In total, each vendor should have an area of 4x7 m (28 m2) of space at their disposal.

7. All structures and debris must be removed from the vending location by January 8th, 2026, which is 2 days after the last permitted vending day of January 5th, 2026. The vending location/lot must be left in the condition in which it was found, or fines will be levied against the permit holder.

8. Music will only be permitted from 5:00 P.M. until closing and may not exceed 75dB.

9. The sale of beverages in glass bottles is strictly prohibited. Additionally, the sale of alcoholic beverages to individuals under the age of 18 is not permitted. Non-compliance will result in the revocation of the permit.

10. All garbage must be placed in sealed black garbage bags and positioned on the side of Walter Nisbeth Road. Additionally, all oil should be disposed of in plastic containers for collection. Disposing of oil behind the vending structure, in the pond, or elsewhere in plastic containers is strictly prohibited and will result in the revocation of the permit.
