wackyfriday28112019Fun also continues for all the family Saturday

PHILIPSBURG:--- TelEm Group says it will be setting up a Wacky Village in the company’s parking lot starting Friday, November 29 and ending the following day, Saturday. The two-day event will feature a host of activities and entertainment for everyone.

Organizers say it’s all part of this year’s theme for Wacky Telco Friday (Plus), when the company promotes its products and services to customers and the general public in a hilarious carnival-like atmosphere.

While the promotion is to generate sales to the public, it’s also an opportunity for TelEm Group to share in some fun events and activities with their valued customers.

The organizers say the sales part of the event will be taking place throughout the day Friday and Saturday starting at 6.30 in the morning, but a great deal of the fun will take place in the specially set up “Wacky Telco Friday Village” where a number of companies and individuals have partnered with TelEm Group to man booths and showcase their own products and services.

The Wacky Telco Friday Village opens on both days at 9:00 in the morning with special emphasis on fun activities and features for children on the second day of the event (Saturday).

TelEm Group Manager, Marketing & Sales Mrs. Grisha Heyliger says children will be able to enjoy free Harley bike rides, see a movie with a complimentary popcorn, bounce around in the magic castle and have their face painted. There will also be lots to choose from to eat and drink, including mouth-watering desserts.

Grisha says for adults, there will be a Zumba class between 5:30 and 6:30 Friday evening and between 9:00 am and 10:00 am Saturday morning. Adults can also get into the spirit of the event with an invitation to attend a Happy Hour on Friday itself, starting at 5:00 pm with entertainment provided by The Control Band.

Rounding off the two days will be Live DJ’s, Urmain Dormoy’s Drumband (Saturday 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm), NIA’s Tribute Troop between 12:30 and 1:30, also Saturday, and photo stations for all members of the family to make use of.

According to Grisha, in keeping with the theme to dress Wacky for the event, prizes will be handed out for the most eye-catching costume with the judges eyes being especially keen to award prizes to children who show the most creativity with their own wacky costumes.

Commercial partners joining TelEm Group in the two-day event are: Car dealership, Motorworld, who will be promoting vehicle sales along with a host of other sponsors and partners including: Windward Islands Bank, CC1, Caribbean Palms, Smart Home Concepts, Domino’s Pizza, Carousel and others.

“We have really laid on a bumper two days of non-stop “Wacky fun” for our customers and members of the public this weekend and we encourage everyone to come out and take part,” said Grisha.
