PHILIPSBURG:--- The Police Traffic Department is presently investigating a serious traffic accident involving a motorcyclist which took place on Sunday, January 20th at approximately 02.50 a.m. The accident took place on the Airport road in the S-corner coming from the airport just before reaching the round about. The victim, who was under the influence of alcohol, lost control of the motorbike and slammed into the guard-rail on the right side of the road. As result thereof, the victim suffered severe damage to his right arm. The victim was treated on the scene by paramedics and then transported to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment.
