Rotary Sunset Donates Supplies to Mental Health Foundation.

rotarymhf18122018Cay Hill:--- In recognition of Rotary’s December theme, “Disease Prevention and Treatment,” the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset brought some cheer to the patrons of the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) by donating much-needed supplies.

A few weeks’ prior, a wish list was sent by the MHF to the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset requesting items needed for the clients of the Mental Health Foundation. This list included items such as a washing machine, two burner stove, men’s clothing, boots, overalls, gift bags, office chairs, a printer, and a mini-fridge. The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset, having sought sponsorship from Office World, Cotton Cool, Kwik Ideas, 5 Star Hardware, Kooyman, Adolphus Technology and Super Plaza, was able to fulfill all the wishes of the MHF and was elated to make the donation in the presence of the Rotary International President, Barry Rassin.

While visiting the Mental Health Foundation in Cay Hill, the RI President, along with members of the club were taken on a tour of the facility to see the housing services, the amenities that are offered, the kitchen, candle making area, library and met with several of the patrons and staff of the Foundation. Rotary International President Barry applauded the MHF for the work that they have been doing in helping mentally unstable individuals to be able to obtain mainstream schooling and jobs, successfully. He also congratulated the club for this initiative and recognized the efforts of the members in making our communities a better place.

“The Faraja’s department along with our clients are full of gratitude when we say, “Thank you Rotary Sunset.” The limited facility and recourses do not divert our passion to provide the best quality care to our clients. Every item donated will benefit our clients in areas such as job and independence skills. We are looking forward to continuously work with the Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset, who shared our passion in making a positive change in our community,” MHF’s Faraja/Short and Long Stay Coordinator, Giselle Codrington, stated.

The Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunset would like to thank all companies involved in making this presentation a reality.
