Three more witnesses to be heard in Buncamper Appeal Case.

PHILIPSBURG:--- C.A.B. and M.J.B.-M. appeared in the Joint Court of Justice on Thursday 6 April 2017 for the preliminary hearing in the appeal case against them.
C.A.B. and M.J.B.-M's lawyer requested to hear 6 additional witnesses. The Solicitor-General opposed to this request. The Joint Court of Justice decided that 3 of the 6 witnesses will be heard: Gijsbertha, Havertong, and Tjong-Ajong. The investigation was referred back to the investigative judge for these witnesses to be heard. The criminal proceedings have been postponed for an indefinite period of time.
On April 7, 2016, C.A.B. and M.J.B.-M. were sentenced to 12 months in jail fully suspended and 240 hours of community service.
The appeal case against a third suspect, F.E.G. was withdrawn by the Prosecutor's Office on April 5, 2017.
