CUL DE SAC:--- The gendarmes have opened an investigation to determine the cause of death of a man 33 years old they found dead on Sunday morning around 9:30am the Cul de Sac beach (grandes Cayes, à Cul de sac). The body was found by a couple of people that were walking on the beach. A coroner confirmed the death of the man who has been living on St. Martin since May 2016. Preliminary findings show that the victim did not die of natural causes and thus there are signs of violence on the body. Samples were taken from the corpse in order to identify the victim who turned out to be a French resident. An autopsy is expected in the coming days while the body has been confiscated a press release from the Gendarmerie stated.
