Hostage Taker Arrested, Weapon Seized

Cupe Coy: --- Police managed to subdue a man who had taken his wife hostage in an apartment  in Orinoco Drive Cupe Coy. The man was carrying a weapon at the time he held his wife hostage. The incident happened around 2pm yesterday confirmed Chief Commissioner of Police Richard Pannflek. Pannflek said that no one was injured in the ordeal.


In a police press release it is stated that the man who had a gun in his possession refused to communicate with anyone. The suspect has been identified as W.C.N had some sort of domestic problems and he decided to take the woman hostage and lock both the victim and himself in the apartment. The officers tried effortlessly to communicate with the man to no avail; however the Police A Team had to respond to the scene and mobilize themselves. A member of the A team managed to make contact with the suspect by phone since he had refused to open the doors of the apartment.


The cop held a lengthy conversation with the man who decided to surrender to police by first opening the doors of the apartment and gave up. He was immediately arrested and taken to the Philipsburg Police Station. Police also manage to seize the firearm that the man had in his possession at the time.
