Human Remains and Wreckage Discovered at Skyway Crash site.

glenwerleman10112014SIMPSON BAY:--- The search team that is busy searching for the Skyway Short 36 wreckage that crashed off the coast of St. Maarten on October 29th, 2014 recovered some human remains along with clothing and some wreckage on Monday afternoon, Head of Coast Guard Glen Werleman confirmed this to SMN News on Monday.
Werleman said that the team of searchers found two fragments of human bones, clothing and parts of the aircraft. The head of St. Maarten's Coast Guard said that it is clear that the Short 36 smashed into pieces when it crashed. He said that the searchers found part of one of the aircraft's wings and the front of the cockpit. Werleman said that the items and human bones that were found were brought into the Coast Guard's office on Monday afternoon. He further explained that the search team resumed their search efforts at 9am Monday morning until Monday afternoon. "At the moment the team is meeting and discussing whether or not they will continue the search."
While the head of the Coast Guard refused to speculate on the find  (fragment of bones) it likely that the human remains that were found at the crash site are those belonging to the missing co-pilot Rigoberto Lopez.
