WILLEMSTAD, Curacao:--- Caribbean law firm VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne launches a recruitment campaign in the Netherlands to hire young talent. A special characteristic is the requirement for a connection to the islands is a requirement for the graduates the firm is looking for, and an advantage for the young professionals.
In the campaign "Lawyer in the Caribbean", the firm shows what the legal profession at VanEps Kunneman VanDoorne encompasses. With the use of selfies, young Caribbean lawyers are asked to think about where they feel at home: The campaign is communicated mainly via social media. Besides the usual media such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, the up and coming app Vine is also used in the campaign. Vine plays six-second movies in a continuously repeating loop. Colleagues of the firm also play a role by uploading their real-life selfies. Everything is combined on the central platform www.advocaatindecariben.nl.
The recruitment and selection procedure also has special aspects. There is no need for an application letter; all interested candidates are invited to introduce themselves in person. For starters this is done with a central introduction day with group sessions and individual sessions, and lawyers with three to five years of experience -that the firm also looks for- can plan an introduction meeting themselves with an associate of their choice, without obligations. The actual application takes place in one day, so that all candidates know within one week whether they can prepare to leave for the tropics.
The organization with over 70 employees has won awards for its human resources policy before. The goals and the level of ambition are high.
