MULLET BAY:--- From April 28th to 30th, St. Maarten was host to the annual Volkswagen parts conference. Included was a training seminar for VW/Audi dealers in the Caribbean. It is specialized basic training for the Volkswagen Group Electronic Parts Catalogue "ETKA" and for the Parts Order System "Parts on Command" or POC. It was organized as a "custom made" training for all Caribbean and English speaking importers and/or direct dealers of the Volkswagen Group LAM (Latin American) Region (Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Audi and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles) who need the basics for ETKA and POC, but also for those who have some experience and want to freshen up in the new updates in both systems. There were 6 official representatives of Volkswagen/Audi at the training including the head of Volkswagen/Audi parts for all of Latin America. 82% or 14 of 17 Caribbean importers / direct dealers of the Volkswagen Group Brands (VW Passenger Cars, Audi and VW Commercial Vehicles) including Bermuda, Bahamas, St. Lucia, Suriname, Trinidad, Jamaica, Grenada, Haiti and Caribbean Auto from St. Maarten participated in this event.
The event took place at the conference room at Maho Sonesta in Mullet Bay where the attendees were also accommodated.
