PHILIPSBURG:--- A lady with initials K.A. (40) filed a report with the Detective Department on April 29th, 2014 stating that on Saturday April 26th, 2014 during the end of the Jouvert Morning, her son with initials R.D.O.A. was attacked and beaten by a group of boys in front of the Festival Village. One of the attackers used a brass knuckle to strike the victim in his head. As a result of this beating the victim suffered severe bleeding under his skull and had to be admitted to the Sint Maarten Medical Center for further treatment. The victim had to be flown abroad on Monday April 28th, 2014 because of his deteriorating medical condition. The Detective Department is investigating this case and is asking anyone who may have any information concerning this case to contact the Police Department.
