King Yen Tae Kwon Do School returns Victorious.

kingyentaekwondoschoolreturnsvictorious04102012Simpson Bay:--- Minister of Sports Silveria Jacobs was on hand Wednesday night to welcome back the St. Maarten Tae Kwon Do team that recently took part in the All-Star International Tae Kwon Do Open Tournament in Orlando, USA.
Grand Master Theo Liu was proud to report the success of his athletes, who won 20 gold, 15 silver, and 9 bronze medals all together. He further expressed that St. Maarten was the smallest country represented at the tournament competing against the USA and other large countries.
The Minister congratulated them on their great achievement and acknowledged them as ambassadors of our island nation among the great countries. Minister also congratulated Grand Mater Liu, the volunteers and their parents who helped to prepare the children to complete at such a high level. Minister Jacobs also encouraged the athletes to continue to display discipline and strength of character in their chosen sport as well as in their daily lives.
She pledged continued support for the organization in its role of helping to mold productive citizens for St. Maarten.
