French Quarter:--- Several staff of the French Quarter Primary school have been expressing fears and concerns over the increased amount of cases of tuberculosis (TB). SMN News learnt that several students have been diagnosed with the disease while authorities are doing their best to contain the disease.
Last week, it was reported that there was at least one case of tuberculosis (TB). However, sources close to the school said that there were about 12 to 15 cases reported this week. The source said the DSDS and the Collectivity of St. Martin are fully aware and is involved in the situation.
SMN News also learnt that a meeting will be held on Thursday with the staff and parents concerning the spread of the disease. Personnel of the DSDS said meetings were held last week with the school representatives and Parents Teachers Association.

I think if that parent know their child was sick they shud of keep it out of school because if it was in the same school I'm working or my child is all hell would of break loose because that is a very dangerouse expecially your pregnant. I heared about the diseas before school close for the easter vacation and I was scared not only for me but for my co-workers who are pregnant and have familes.

This is something that will accure simply cause not every one has the same knowlege of hygien and good health,

A lot fear to say and talk the truth , in FQ it's very close to the border and to be honest if u just stand by any school in the FQ area more that 35% come from dutch side cause the parents just put them in school to get caf and to insure that theire papers are renewed etc .. so health, hygiene and balance meals are no concern for them,

as a mother it hurt my heart but what is sad is to put a popluation at risk and as normal the COM will not do nothing for the FQ area, cause as was said years ago the people in fq until it's elections ,

what needs to be done close the close down that is call PREVENTION !!!

FQ stand up, dont wait for a epedemic to cry ...

I think you st martiners need to consider the amount of strangers you are letting in the country. This should be no surprise to you. If you keep letting strangers in. You are overpopulated as it is. What do you expect. People are afraid to vacation in St Martin anymore. Because almost everyday there is some type of crime commited there. Why don't you get rid of drug trafficing and drug dealers and people who are there illegally.Let the trueST Martiners live in peace. Like it was before. St martin was once a beautiful island now it is polluted with all kinds of cirmes and now diseases
