Like the rest of the bloggers before me already indicated that it is election time and Patrick giving out left and right to his beloved DQ.
He cleaning up the spring, but windward roads gets the job and he talking about the “boys on the block”.
In Dutch quarter is enough equipment and know how to do job, there are architects and contractors who have done much bigger jobs than that.
He donated to I Can and the Dutch Quarter Community Council a Naf1000 each for food and supplies which is good and much needed, but Patrick is the Minister of Traffic and telecommunication!!
What about donating internet and computers in order for the kids of the Dutch Quarter area can do their home work and go on the internet to do research and not forgetting the adults who can use the internet and the computers to better them selves.
What I have just mentioned is not a miracle solution or a wish, Patrick is the MINISTER of traffic and Telecommunication!!!!!!!!!
Talking about his portfolio, what as he really done for this island when it concerns his portfolio???
If he had done anything thing, the ALL the schools on the island would have had FREE internet and good computer labs, St. Maarten would have had a REAL maritime school, St. Maarten would have been the telecommunication hub for the Leeward Islands and who knows, even beyond.
All he did was encourage post spaar bank to be more active on the island with their mortgage scheme, which is a wonderful thing, for young people to get their own home.
St. Maarten will become country on 10-10-10 and what has he done for St. Maarten with his very important portfolio.
I said important, because if the Telecommunications, Maritime and Aviation services are not properly in place, we will have a big problem, the US will not send their plains and cruise ships here because the adequate institutions are not in place and even recognize internationally to handle a problem if one comes up.
Let me give you an example, GOD forbid if there was a plane or a cruise ship accident on the island, which inspector or organization will handle the investigation locally and if you don’t have one the US will stop sending their planes and ships here.
Look at the helicopter accident we had some time back, who came to do the investigation?
It was the Federal Aviation inspectorate, has St. Maarten gotten one yet, did the Minister help St. Maarten setup one yet??????????????????????????????????

Each district does have representatives but the real question is..what are they doing? and how much power do they have to change things in their community?

I know I had read about a year ago when NA had just got in that there were representatives for the districts. I remember this because I saw my uncle in the newspaper as one of the representatives for Sucker Garden and I was surprise.

I thought it was a good idea but ever since then I never heard anything about and from these district leaders.

Mr. Patrick tell us what you have done as minister. The people have a right to know. It's all nice that you find some funds to donate from your campaign fund. But we all know, this money is coming from elsewhere, not from your own pocket or heart. This could have been done a long time ago. Why now? We all should know the answer to that one!

patrick really think we in dq are the stupidest people because the last time he was in dq was went he was when he was fooling the youths with empty promises.which was jan 2010 now he have the guts to come back again with his 2k and promises.. but if he can fool na to make him minister in a year and na never question how samuel who their for donkey years can not be a minister. We who live in a forgotten area which a blind man can say this is DQ because of the s**tty smell drowing round about patrick can keep his money and help the people how to fish and not give them fish every time he wants a favour.NA made DQ smell s**tty a school in a gut and UP made us down in water everytime it rains and one of the seven deadly sins is greed got everybody look for money to vote then after 18th sept you hungry again, my people get a clue DP feel asleep on us too. that why i am not voting all of them full of s**t.
