votingbureau01092010Philipsburg:--- The leader of the Concordia Political Alliance Jeffry Richardson has a lot to rejoice over after he won yet another battle in the Court of First Instance on Wednesday. Jeffry Richardson founder and leader of the Concordia Political Alliance (CPA) took the head of the voting bureau to court to have Fritz Leo Richardson added as the number two candidate on the CPA list and to also give Richardson a Dutch national who was born on Aruba the rights to vote and contest the September 17th election.
Judge Van Veen ruled that the CPA must be given the necessary time to fill in all the necessary forms to add Richardson as the number 2 candidate on the CPA and submit it by Friday this week. In an invited comment Jeffry Richardson leader of the CPA said the civil registry has to give him all the necessary forms to fill in and if that is done he will finalize the new list for the CPA with the second candidate added and submit as ordered by the judge.
Pleading for the CPA was Attorney at law Zylena Bary who asked the court to allow her client Fritz Leo Richardson to vote as well as to become a candidate in the CPA list to contest the September 17 election. Bary pointed out to the judge that her client registered at the civil registry on July 16th while the voting registry closed on August 6th, she said the acting head of the civil registry mislead the leader of the CPA when she told him not to add three of his candidates to the list because according to her they were not registered, one of which was Fritz Leo Richardson. Bary said if the chairman of the main voting bureau has no problem allowing Fritz Leo Richardson the rights to vote then he should also be able to allow the CPA to add him as a candidate on their slate.
Representing the island government was the chairman of the main voting bureau Reynold Groeneveldt who told the judge that according to the law Richardson was supposed to register at the civil registry five days after he arrived on St. Maarten and that Richardson has been living on the island since 2008. Groeneveldt also asked the judge to declare the case of Richardson null and void since the injunction was filed against the chairman of the main voting bureau and not the island government. The acting Lt. Governor and chairman of the main voting bureau said that the problem Richardson is faced with was not caused by a mistake made by the acting head of the census office. Groeneveldt also told the court that the leader of the CPA Jeffry Richardson should have added Fritz Leo Richardson to his list even though he was told verbally that the candidate was not registered at the civil registry. Even though the lists from the various political parties were submitted on August 18th the validation of those lists only took place on September 1 2010.
Groeneveldt told members of the media that all four list have been validated and that they would all be contesting the September 17 elections. Groeneveldt said when the committee of the main voting bureau met last week they noticed that there were some minor mistakes with some of the candidates. He said the parties with the mistakes on their list were notified and the necessary corrections were made.

The Chairman of the Voting Bureau is also the lawyer representing the Island Government, excuse me!!!! That should be two distinct people in a civilized society.

Congratulation Jeffry. One victory and more to come.

Groentje don't make that mistake again. You are a clever man to let other people lead you. Don't forget you have two caps and don't mess it up by defending your clients and be governor at the same time. thanks Groentje.

Another hurdle removed for jeffrey richardson, leader of the CPA.
It is exactly what my crystal ball was showing to me from the beginning.
The message coming from my crystal ball is very clear.
No guessing, just reading what is in the make.
Voters in great numbers will vote for the CPA of Jeffrey Richardson.
Even voters who pretend to be DP, NA and UP supporters will take whatever these parties give them, but for once they are convinced not to sell their votes this time.
Many people want to be history by giving a completely under estmated new party very strong mandate.
The CPA is a party they can sympathize with, because they know that the CPA is telling the hard truth and that big business is trying very hard to put up hurdles.
Take it to the bank.
Many people cant wait to tell their children and even their grand-children, that Jeffrey won, because they voted for him.
That will allow them to stop feeling guilty f having sold out their votes and their children future
For that reason, people will give CPA so many votes that Jeffrey will have to be reckoned with as the voice of the st. martin people and other abused groups.

Congratulations Jeffrey. I wish you lots of success in the upcoming election. But please do not side with the NA after election. That would be 'betrayal on the highest level'. This is however very unlikely to happen because I know they will lose the elections.

Here is another reason to vote for CPA. Curacao politicians are looking for personal glory and are willing to jeopardize the future (futuro?) of their own island and that of St. Maarten.

The new combo in Curacao with MFK, MAN and PS may delay the constitutional reform process and put St. Maarten's future on hold. We can not allow that to happen. St. Maarten needs to go completely independent of all these self-serving politicians and countries.

CPA all the way! All the way to total independence!!! Total independence for the whole of Sint Maarten/Saint Martin. That is mission of The Concordia Initiative!

Congratulations to Jeffrey and Huge props to Ms. Barry.

Just as in the case of David and Goliath you have once more proven the power of our Lord Almighty by showing that no matter how big the opponent, the little man can and will overcome.

Ms. Barry, you are a force to be reckoned with.

Mr. Groeneveldt, I have always admired and respected your integrity, please do not further disappoint us by blindly being mis-led by those people. You are acting Lt. Gov. please wear only that hat for now. If you want to practice Law, then give up your appointment as acting Lt. Gov. I expected better from you and was genuinely happy to see you appointed as acting Lt. Gov. Now I am not so sure anymore. Don't destroy our positive image of you. Your appointment in Gov. is never firm. Just as you came you can go.

To NA, you appointed 2 top lawyers as act. Lt. Gov. but you see, it takes common sense to be the better man (Lawyer/person). This is something you have not learned with running Gov. either. You only base on all who have this degree and that degree but you forgot to look at persons who really have the know how and common sense. Blackman & Duncan are good examples of this.

Good luck to you CPA. Don't give up the fight.

@ 9-17

The Richardson family can't stand the Wathey's, so stop dreaming. They manage to steal Jeffrey grand parents land with the help of the kadastre management team and in return the DP Government gave jeffery father a piece of land in the pond (land fill) at Bush road next to Kwik bargain. His grand parents maybe long gone but there are family members (Richardson family) left behind to tell the tale. You can run put you can not hind.
