panneflek01022010Philipsburg: ---- Minister of Justice Magali Jacoba has placed Assistant Chief Commissioner of Police Richard Panneflek to the disposition of the Island Government for another year. SMN News learnt that Panneflec sent the Minister of Justice a letter sometime last week telling her that the agreement he had would have expired on February 1 2010 and he intended to report back to work as Assistant Chief Commissioner of Police on that date. Sources say when the Minister received that letter she immediately prepared a decree telling Panneflec that he is placed to the disposition of the island government for another year.
SMN News further learnt that Panneflec had sent a letter to Minister Jacoba shortly after she took office indicating to her that he had completed the task required of him by the executive council (Island Government) and was ready to return to the police force but she never replied to his letter.
Sources say that one of the reasons the Minister of Justice cannot readily accept Panneflec back in the force is because former Minister of Justice David Dick had placed Assistant Chief Commissioner of Police Ademar Doran illegally in a position that was not legally available. It is understood that Panneflec is currently in scale 16 and Doran is also in the same scale. The source said if Panneflec is to return to the police force then he would have to be promoted to scale 17 that are currently being held by Former Chief Commissioner of Police Derrick Holiday. SMN News learnt that the illegal adjustments were made during the last two weeks of the former Minister's tenure.
In the meantime, former Minister of Justice David Dick did publish the vacancy of Chief Commissioner of Police, which was contested by Holiday in a court of law.
In an invited comment Panneflec said he discussed the matter of his disposal to the island government for another year with his legal representative. He said based on the complexity of the case he is not in a position to divulge much information. SMN News also learnt that members of the NABP are scheduled to arrive on St. Maarten this Wednesday where they would discuss the matter with the management team of the Police Force St. Maarten (KPSSS). SMN News learnt that the NABP representatives would also be discussing the issues surrounding detective Carlton Philips and the prosecutor's office.
Several efforts to contact Minister Jacoba by phone on Monday proved futile even though she is currently on St. Maarten.

"Illegal adjustments" done by the minister of justice that involve highest-ranking local police officers?
well ,this is an excellent example for the young generation! i don't understand why are we so hard on them, we set the best example.
and by the way, "scale 17 that are currently being held by Former Chief Commissioner of Police Derrick Holiday" - is he still getting paid according to this "scale?"

Mr. "Dick" (name suits him well) had never like St. Maarten. It was always his intention to destroy sxm in what ever way possible he can. What better way to create "havoc" in the police station. He had never like Mr. panneflek because with him he would not have been able to get away with doing his things. So he choose the "puppy", who hungry for position and money accepted to be led by the leash. All mr. Doran did was for his own selfish interest. He has done nothing good for the police. Things has gone from bad to worse. But what can he do if he is not capable and does not have the ability nor credentials. Thnik "Dick" could have done something like this in his own country? They would have shot him dead. He must be laughing now seeing 10-10-10 is around the corner and the situation we are in. But our faith is with the Almighty, not with him. And great things He has done.

Today the police force is in pieces, because of people being put in funtions because of who they know and not what they know. Police officers who have dedicated their career to fighting crime are being pa*s over because of friendship in the management. Sint Maarten will pay the price for this wiht people in function just for the money, but do not give a damn about Sint Maarten. I have never being in favor of the dutch take-over, but the way the police force is going right know they can have it all. It all about fighting each other for higher function that they do not deserve. It is a shame police fighting police. Al this for the money and nothing else. I really makes me sick.

Twee honden vechten om een been en de derde loopt er ras mee heen. I remember that from school days. Holiday and Panneflek tried to destroy each other and now Doran is the new boss and Dongoor is the coach.....boy this is so laughable. They say Loor put Dick on Holiday, but it was Panneflek who guided it in. Te veel macht in the weinig handen. the police force was bad and now it worst. this is a deliberate act, well primed for a take over. Soon they will send poor Doran away and then the Dutch boys will come in to replace all of them. People of St. Maarten this is how they do it. Dont underestimate what is at play here. this reminds me of how they crucified Micheal Jackson. The media is playing right in the hands of the Dutch. guess we are our own worst enemy. Two Dutch run newspapers printing exactly what they want us to understand, and we love the dog fight. they locking up people left and right and we love it....When your neighbor house on fire WET YOURS. Time is a b*tch.

This is realy a biggggggggggggggggggg joke. I know for a fact that Doran will be gone soon and de Witte will take over his place. The promiss Doran a new spot, which he will grab with hands and feet. The present managers like Fransisca and Martina are leaving also. So what will be the leftovers? Police men who never ever went to do real managment??
This is so sick for words. Is our goverment to blind? Is this the way to represent us in Curacao?? Is this another poliTRUC?
Those who are in charge to give our goverment advise know exactly what is going on, but the are making space for themself when this Island become country. Read my lips: The new minister of justice of SXM will be the same 1 who give the most advise right now. What a sick bunch of power-seeking S.O.B.
These people dont realy have their heart on the right place for this rock. They start to bite each other head off allready. In a year from now Jacoba is not in control anymore. Panneflek will never get a chance to get bach in the police force, because all seats will be taken allready. They will use him to sharpen their pencils an empty their waste-baskets.
I realy hope that those who can do something now will act right now. Dont blame DP after all the damage is done. NA open your eyes and act right now. SEE WHAT GAME THEY ARE PLAYING WITH OUR BELOVERD ISLAND...pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I hope this watcher has it all wrong. But 10-10-10 will show that I will be right IF NOTHING IS DONE.

DUTCHman policy: HEERS EN VERDEEL.........VERDEEL EN BLIJF OPPERMACHTIG.

This is so sickkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. You will never win from these white guys....neverrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
GOD bless SINT MAARTEN

It is sad when your Police force in not working at its best. The people who will suffer are those who they swear to protect. We have to keep in mind that safety is most important. And yes I agree with the former post that the Dutch will come in and take over. The chips are already in place. Remember we have to start from scratch to build a justice system and guess who have all the tools to do it, Holland. Then again, we have to clean house of the bad apples as well. Too much confusion and distrust. The Dutch will keep a couple brown and black faces that people know, but the top and middle management will all be imported. Hopefully our emergency calls will be answered and officers in uniform will show up when we call 911 or when the bad boys run in the bushes to hide.
