MARIGOT:--- On Wednesday around 6:40 a.m., an individual was seen setting fire to a gendarmerie vehicle parked on rue Kennedy in Marigot, said Major Basso. The fire then spread to two other gendarmerie cars parked nearby. "The three vehicles are completely charred", said the commander. As the flames rose to ten meters, the building and hotel were evacuated as a safety measure. The individual was quickly identified from witness descriptions and questioned. He was taken into custody. He is a 43-year-old man who is homeless and known unfavorably to the police. In 2015 he had already set fire to an apartment. He also suffers from psychiatric problems.
