Fire officer tests positive for COVID-19.

PHILIPSBURG:--- One firefighter has tested positive for COVID-19, Fire Chief Clive Richardson said on Friday. The officer is quarantined at home. Contact tracing was implemented.

The Fire Department has implemented its COVID-19 continuity plan. The emergency response team will continue as normal with two adjustments: calls will be prioritized and the number of vehicles that will be available to respond immediately.

The Fire Department office in Cay Hill is open from 9:00 am to 11:00 am for hurricane and disaster passes collection. The applicant may collect passes after contacted by the Fire Department. A face mask is required to access the building; hands must be sanitized prior to accessing the building.
