Businesses advised to close by 11 am on Wednesday, Government offices closed today.

PHILIPSBURG:--- Chair of the EOC and Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs in an update this morning on the weather conditions due to the passing of tropical storm 9 advised that all businesses closed their doors by 11 am today Wednesday as tropical storm 9 passes close to the island. St. Maarten remains under a storm watch.
The request for the military has been granted and is prepared for any eventualities as the storm passes.
Jacobs also announced that the CXC and CAPE examinations that were scheduled to take place today Wednesday, July 29th, 2020 have been canceled. Those students that had to take CAPE pure mathematics, Biology, and economics as well as CSEC examinations English B and Caribbean History.
The Prime Minister also announced in her EOC update that all government services will be unavailable for today while businesses should be back to normal by Thursday as forecasted.
Further updates will be given throughout the day today Wednesday.
