PHILIPSBURG:--- Contrary to the statements made by Mr. Brian Mingo CEO of PJIAE NV, in the June 18th, 2020 edition of SMN, no agreement has been reached so far between parties with respect to the cost-cutting measures proposed by PJIAE NV.
A virtual meeting was held between PJIAE NV and the two unions representing members at the Airport of St. Maarten, ABVO-SXM, and WICSU-PSU, on Thursday, June 18th, 2020. The main purpose of that meeting was, to exchange information on the financial situation of the company and to provide and receive a further explanation of the revenues disbursed coming from different sources and the expenditures made by the company to the unions.
At the end of the meeting, PJIAE NV presented a proposal to the unions, which upon request of the unions, was formally submitted in writing afterward. That proposal is currently being evaluated by ABVO-SXM, to provide a proper union response to PJIAE NV, after consultation with our members.
ABVO-SXM regrets very much, that an impression has been created, as if an agreement has been reached on the matter, between PJIAE NV and ABVO-SXM.
The board of ABVO-SXM.

Chairman of the board
