PHILIPSBURG:--- The Government of Sint Maarten has started the process of de-escalation in the week of May 11 via its ‘Economic Re-Opening Plan.’ This entails the re-opening per sector subsequent to requirements noted in the Regulation for Businesses based on Social Distancing.
The phased re-opening is contingent upon the Country’s ability to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). If there is a resurgence in the number of cases, the phased re-opening will be delayed and or reversed.
The Oyster Bay Beach Resort (OBBR) and the Coral Beach Club have launched the teaser under the banner, “We’re Saving Your Favourite Spot.”
The teasers include a message starting out, “We Know You’d Rather Be Here. We miss you too. You are our reason for being and your safety is our foremost priority.”
