sobohkiller23032020PHILIPSBURG:---

The Detective Department is seeking the assistance of the public to locate a person of interest whose images were taken off surveillance cameras at the scene of a broad daylight murder that was committed on Sunday in the vicinity of Garden Market in Simpson Bay.
A wanted suspect is a person of interest in the brutal murder of Josep Jihad Soboh who was shot to death around 2 pm as the suspect approached him to rob him of his scooter valued at $1,500.00.

Police Spokesman Inspector Joe Josepha said that even though the images of the suspect have been released since Sunday the detective department did not get one phone call that would lead them to the arrest of the wanted man who is considered armed and dangerous.
Josepha said that the community of St. Maarten needs to assist the police in locating the suspect since it is unimaginable that someone among us would rob and kill another person during broad daylight. “ The police will not let go, this person has to be apprehended and face the judicial system for his actions. We need our people to root this person out from society before he strikes again” Josepha further warned the community of St. Maarten that is punishable by law to harbor a criminal in your homes. He called on everyone to be law-abiding citizens by assisting the police in locating the wanted suspect.
Soboh was a former employee of Sale & Pepper while he was also working for Roxy Beach Bar in Simpson Bay.
