PHILIPSBURG:--- The acting head of domain affairs Raeyhon Peterson was stripped of his duties effective Monday, October 14th, 2019 by Minister of VROMI Chris Wever. Peterson received the letter from the Minister on Friday.
Peterson a close friend of ousted Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin was stripped one day after Romeo Marlin was forced out of office.
The Minister in his letter informed Peterson that as of Monday, October 14th he will no longer serve as acting head of Domain Affairs within the Ministry of VROMI and that very shortly he will receive the national decree confirming the Minister’s decision.
The letter further stated as of Monday, October 14th all staff of the Department of VROMI will report directly to the Secretary-General Mr. Brown, while any all documents stemming from Domain Affairs will no longer need his signature either will Peterson and his colleagues would not be needed for advice related to matters of domain affairs.
The acting head was asked to ensure that all pending documents are processed by Friday, October 18th, 2019 and said documents should be forwarded to the Secretary-General for handling.
Peterson, the acting head of domain affairs was the one who was busy swapping land for the now-ousted Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin, it is further understood that Peterson is the one who took a file of documents to the Prosecutor’s Office when now MP Christopher Emmanuel left the office of the Ministry of VROMI.
SMN News understands that while Peterson is a civil servant he is highly political.
SMN News understands that the Minister is also monitoring the functioning of the Secretary-General Louis Brown and should he continue to work in conflict with the laws and the Minister then he too will be stripped. Brown was sent home when now MP Christopher Emmanuel was Minister of VROMI.
