~Suspended MP is not the first suspect to have liens placed on their properties.~
PHILIPSBURG:--- The Prosecutor’s Office has placed a temporary lien on all properties, bank accounts and the salary of suspended MP Theodore Heyliger.
The lien it is understood was placed earlier this week. Spokesman for the TBO Roderick Gouverneur confirmed that the lien was placed on Heyliger’s real estate including his home, accounts and his salary that comes from the government of St. Maarten since he is still a member of parliament that has been suspended while he was in pretrial detention as a main suspect in the LARIMAR investigation.
The Prosecutor’s Office had placed a lien on all properties belonging to Webster while he was also in custody, the lien that was placed on Webster's property led to them losing their family home. Liens were also placed on moveable properties of Etienne Meyers.
Liens were also placed on properties belonging to Emerald suspect Oniel Arrindell. The liens and seizure on Arrindell property had led to the sale of the vessel belonging Yaniv Eliyahu and American citizen.
The Prosecutor’s Office had already placed liens on the properties belonging to Ron Elferink another suspect in the LARIMAR investigation.
Currently suspended MP Theodore Heyliger is in Boston where he is hospitalized and recovering from a post-operation.
