EXCLUSIVE: Will the Whistle blower from VSA be held accountable for the $500,000.00 transferred to Foodmate BV?

szvcybercrimes23062019~ Will Parliament do what is necessary to ensure Ministers responsible for squandering public funds get prosecuted or will this be another political football? ~

PHILIPSBURG: --- The Parliament of St. Maarten will be meeting as of Monday, June 24th to debate the country’s budget that is months late. Members of Parliament are busy taking notes and sharpening their tongue to lash out on Ministers that will report to Parliament this week to defend the worst budget of the country.
Several MP’s are planning to table motions that may eventually topple the current dysfunctional government led by Prime Minister Leona Romeo Marlin, however, the questions posed by many within the community of St. Maarten is would be sending home the incompetent government be enough while MPs are locked up for alleged crimes that are not yet proven in court?
There is blatant evidence showing Ministers are spending government funds lavishly on their pet projects while many homes are still without roof and people are still jobless since the passing of hurricane Irma and Maria.
The Minister of VSA Emil Lee has gotten away with murder over the years, even though he was exposed several times by SMN News. Emil Lee has been the Minister of VSA for almost 5 years and to date, there is nothing this Minister accomplished in the best interest of St. Maarten and its people.
While Emil Lee is busy trying to secure and grant a five years contract to his friend and partner in crime Glen Carty there is damning evidence that requires a full-scale investigation. One being the $500,000.00 that was transferred early March 2019 to a company called “Foodmate BV registered in Brooklyn New York. Has anyone questioned Carty and Lee or was there any traces done to see who exactly is the insider that will benefit from the people’s pension funds? A simple Google search shows that Foodmate BV is a Poultry Processing Systems. The question that arises after such a simple search is what business does SZV do with such a company and is this the first time such a large amount of funds were transferred to the company. Already we know that there are at least two American citizens attached to the Ministry of VSA and its not surprising that the so-called phishing scam that costs the company over $1M went to a company registered in Brooklyn New York.

At the end of 2017 when the DP MP Sarah Wescott Williams decided she would topple the National Alliance (NA), United St. Maarten Party (USP) and Democratic Party (DP) Government, Emil Lee the Minister of VSA chose to use a reporter to leak information and documents when he felt St. Maarten people were not good enough to receive lease land. The same Minister also leaked documents and information to the same reporter about the contracts given out to various companies and persons former Minister of VROMI Christopher Emmanuel hired to clean up the island after the passage of hurricane IRMA. Most recently the same whistleblower decided to leak some information about the Global Ports Holding that is seeking to manage the St. Maarten Harbor Holdings. This negotiation has been taking place months now and it is one of the reasons certain members of the Supervisory Board of St. Maarten Harbor Group of Companies were removed because they were against the outsourcing of the St. Maarten’s people patrimony. Now that the budget will be debated, and the whistleblower will have his day in Parliament he chose to leak some information to his friend in the media. However, the whistleblower who can be culpable in the SZV phishing scam scandal forgot to leak the information on Foodmate BV. Not to mention the same whistleblower and his best friend former Minister of Finance Michael Ferrier were the ones who tried to beat up on the former Minister of VROMI Christopher Emmanuel and former Minister of TEATT Mellissa Arrindell Doncher for the PJIAE scandal while they both forget the lease fees for SXM Shipyard which is more than NAF1.4M.
The current Minister of Finance Perry Geerlings who placed several of his own people in positions such as the Central Bank got away with the contract, he awarded to Bearing Point for NAF. 12.3 M. On March 2nd SMN News released the documents showing that Bearing Point was awarded such a contract even though procedures were not followed and there was a blatant conflict of interest in handling the bidding process. MPs asked questions about this contract, but they all went to sleep and did nothing to hold that Minister accountable.
While St. Maarten and its people prepare for the budget debate scheduled to start on Monday, people are wary of the political rumbling and are looking forward to the people’s representatives to walk their talk since there are too many departments within government that are failing society.
Let us hope that the MPs that are bawling about the prison conditions, the cries of the police and the stagnant PJIAE renovations will finally wake up and truly represent the people of St. Maarten even though some of them were rejected at the polls but still got a chance to sit in parliament and to collect $10,000.00 monthly not forgetting the travel perks even when they cannot speak a word of Dutch.
