PHILIPSBURG:--- MP Claude Claude Peterson wants Government to share more information on the Simpson Bay land. He made his statements on Wednesday during the Public meeting of Parliament. The SMCP coalition partner just needs to do some research. On February 24th, 2014 the OSPP headed by Lenny Priest sent in a release that says “Please no more scandals.
Obtained from the Kadaster's Office is the deed of Turtle House property located at Airport Road 114, Simpson Bay. PJIAE bought the property from Albert Claudius Wathey on June 26th, 2013 for a whopping $2,750,000.00. The buyer (PJIAE) bought the long lease land rights of 1,220 square meters of land which will end on May 27th, 2040. Lee’s Roadside Grill property conflict
February 1, 2018, the day the court said that Lee Halley must close Lee’s Roadside Grill and move out so that the son of Notary Speetjens, Jerry Speetjens, can demolish it and start building his project.
The government offered Lee’s Roadside Grill a rental agreement for a piece of land on Simpson Bay Beach (Kimsha Beach) but the Government did not approve the building permit request because permanent structures, such as Roxxi on the same beach, are not allowed to be built on the beach or perhaps it’s because Lee Halley is a Simpson Bay, St. Maarten man and not a foreigner. The government wants to put something that won’t damage or destroy somebody else home/business should/when a storm passes by. Hopefully, a secure location will be found Lee’s could reopen before the end of the year and with Lee’s building capabilities they can do it. demolish it and start building his project.
Roxxy Beach property development (source 16 April 2018 ; stmaartennews)
Al Wathey invested around $1 million in the development of Roxxy Beach, located right next to the Royal Palm in Simpson Bay. The project consists of a restaurant, a bar, and a lounge and is open. Right now Roxxy Beach is the number one spot for diners and tourist. A location that can boost the country's tourism industry.

Air Lekker Beck property termination
The government ruined Air Lekkerbek another local company destroyed.
The owners of Air Lekkerbek saw the land ripped from right under their noses to be given to the Chamber of Commerce despite submitting an earlier request to obtain the land in long lease. Hopefully, with information, SMCP MP Claude Peterson could begin the investigation process, its time the MP show that Corruption is not his Culture, his recent trips to Suriname and Holland were not in St. Maarten's interest.
