EXCLUSIVE: PJIAE CEO looking to appoint Dutch CFO, wants to bypass selection process.

“Mingo wants to appoint Dutch CFO”

PHILIPSBURG: --- The Supervisory Board of Directors of Princess Juliana International Airport (PJIAE) and the Shareholder representative are extremely disappointed and upset with the recently appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Mingo.
According to information provided to SMN News Mingo allegedly went to the Shareholder representative Minister Stuart Johnson and asked him for his support to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) from the Netherlands, the person Mingo wants to appoint is coming from Royal Schipol Group.
The source said Mingo does not want PJAIE Operating Company to follow the procurement procedures and to bypass the selection process to hire a Dutch person to fill the position that was recently vacated by Ravi Daryanani.
SMN News further learned that certain Members of Parliament that is supporting the present coalition wants Mingo fired as they are extremely disappointed with the way he decides to function. SMN News further learned that Mingo is not even working along with the Chief Operations Officer (COO) that has more than 25 years of working experience at PJIAE. The same person that managed the airport alone since there was no CFO and CEO.
“Things are in pretty bad shape with management and while the Shareholder placed PJIAE in its financial predicament the CEO that was recently appointed is not helping the situation.”
Efforts made to reach the chairman of the Supervisory Board for a comment proved futile.
