PHILIPSBURG:--- DFS is working relentlessly to unite all Dominicans residing on St. Maarten/St. Martin, the motto of DFS is working with each other to create opportunities where members will prosper and bringing the communities together, stated Mr. Clayton Felix, President of DFS. The foundation organizes events that benefits St. Maarten/St. Martin, Dominicans residing on St. Maarten/St. Martin and the Commonwealth of Dominica. Past events that were organized by DFS is a fundraising event for the high schools on the island that were damaged by Hurricane Irma and pillaged by looters, a Hurricane Relief Drive in aid of the Commonwealth of Dominica which was ravished by Hurricane Maria and the celebration of Dominica 39th Independence on St. Maarten.
Topics that will be discussed during the upcoming meeting are:
owning your home; insurance coverage; registering in Dominica Social Security program and procedures for the renewal of the Dominica passport. The general meeting is scheduled for Thursday March 29th, 7:30pm at the University of St. Martin room 202.
