Crime numbers 2017 - Saba.

SABA:--- On Tuesday, March 20th, 2018, KPCN presented the crime numbers of 2017 to the Island Council of Saba. During this presentation, police registered statistics regarding traffic, property crimes, violent crimes and drugs related crimes were discussed.
The traffic numbers registered show that compared to 2016 there has been a decrease in the number of both accidents with material damage and accidents with injuries, bringing the total traffic numbers down from 37 in 2016 to 33 in 2017.
There has been a great decrease in property crimes on Saba. In 2016 there were 25 instances of property related crimes in 2017 there were 11 cases. The aspect that showed the biggest change is the total registered cases of destructions (vandalism) on the island.
The number of violent crimes registered in 2017 is 31 which is 7 less than 2016. One of the aspects that show an increase compared to last year is assault that went up from 7 to 16 instances. Domestic Violence, on the other hand, shows a decrease of 8 instances.
Regarding drug-related cases, there have been 4 instances of drugs being encountered, and there have been 3 drug-related arrests. - Please find the Crime statistics attached to this mail.
