PHILIPSBURG:--- On Saturday, March 17th at approximately 3:45 am, a call came through the police central dispatch about a house on fire in the Belle Tree drive in Cole Bay. Police and fire personnel rushed to the scene where they encountered a home completely engulfed in flames. When speaking to the owner of the home, he explained that he was asleep when he suddenly heard his kids screaming. When he awoke he realized his home was full of smoke. He and his family were able to safely evacuate the home in time without injury. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
