Cay Hill:--- The St. Maarten Medical Center will be celebrating World Kidney day on Thursday, March 8th, 2018. The specialists, staff, and patients of the SMMC nephrology department have created activities leading up to and including an in-house celebration and information session to be held this Thursday
The activities will consist of social media campaigns in addition to radio interviews and articles highlighting the SMMC kidney patient care provision, dialysis patient information, and general information regarding kidney disease will be ongoing throughout the week. On March 8th the dialysis department along with its patients, nurses and specialists will host an informational open house from 1 pm to 4 pm. Attendees can expect presentations by the SMMC nephrologists, current dialysis patients as well as demonstrations from the Dialysis nurses. In addition, the nurses will present the experiences, challenges, and triumphs of the department post- Irma.
