Addressing challenges to achieve a higher growth path in small open economies.

Willemstad/Philipsburg - On the 22nd and 23rd of March, 2018, the Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten (CBCS) will host its second Central Banking conference, which will take place in Curaçao. The conference features presentations and lectures by central bankers, economists, and leaders in the private, public, and academic sectors from across the Caribbean region and further abroad, such as IMF, the Caribbean Development Bank and the Financial Services Regulatory Commission.
The general theme of the conference is “Addressing challenges to achieve a higher growth path in small open economies”. Topics of the conference will include “Labor productivity as a driver of economic growth”, “The withdrawal of correspondent banking relations in the Caribbean”, “Macroeconomic implications of natural disasters on small open economies” and “Financial education”. The conference comprises 2 days with morning and afternoon sessions.
Registration for the conference is NAF 250 per participant at the 4 sessions, coffee breaks, 2 lunches, and farewell cocktail;.
