PHILIPSBURG:--- Motorworld Group of companies (MWG) is proud to support the Semana Dominicana Foundation in celebration of the Dominican Republic Independence Day, which is officially recognized on February 27 to commemorate the nation’s declaration of independence.
In spite of several setbacks and various damages caused by the recent passing of hurricane Irma, Foundation Board Members expressed their passion and commitment towards ensuring that this annual celebration was organized in St. Maarten to showcase their cultural pride, with a sense of unity.
Motorworld recognizes the importance of cultural diversity on our dual-nation island, which is home to several diverse nationalities. "We extend sincere congratulations to everyone celebrating Dominican Republic Independence," expressed Tariq Amjad, Managing Director, Motorworld Group of companies.
The Dominican Republic Independence festivities included the main launch event at Son Latino, followed by the vibrant cultural display during the annual parade, which featured Motorworld Group's esteemed brand vehicles, notably the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Mustang. The parade culminated with the festival on the Ring Road on Sunday, along with an array of cultural foods, entertainment and comraderie among the Dominican community.
