Kingdom Council refuse to intervene in St. Maarten Election process.

The Hague/PHILIPSBURG:--- The Kingdom Council of Ministers in a letter dated January 25th, 2018 to Interim Prime Minister Leona Marlin Romeo states that the Kingdom Council will not handle her request to annul the February 26th snap elections.
The letter which was written R.W Knops outlined the consequences of annulling the snap elections, he advised Marlin Romeo that annulment under these circumstances will lead to a further delay of the elections which does not correspond with her stance on the electoral process where she indicated that it should not be disturbed. Knops, therefore, suggested that Marlin- Romeo refrain from having the Kingdom Council of Ministers deal with her request.
