Carnival booth holder meeting next Tuesday.

dvanheyningenatnbabooth14122017PHILIPSBURG:--- The St. Maarten Carnival Development Foundation (SCDF) on Thursday announced that it is moving to the next phase of preparations for Carnival 2018 with a scheduled booth holder meeting next week. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 19 at 7:00pm at Carl & Sons Unique Inn in Cole Bay.
Booth holders are urged to attend the meeting to obtain relevant information for Carnival 2018 and some details about Carnival in general. The SCDF received over 100 new registrants for booths this year but cannot accommodate everyone. Persons who were allotted a booth have already been notified.
“We are moving straight ahead towards Carnival 2018. We are a little behind schedule due to hurricane Irma and the recovery of the island as well as personal recovery. Nevertheless, Carnival must go on and the first item on the list are the booth holders who make up Carnival Village,” President of the SCDF Alston Lourens said.
Booth holder meetings focus on a wide range of operational topics inside of Carnival Village.
