PHILIPSBURG:--- The American University of the Caribbean (AUC) donated stationary supplies to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport (ECYS). Through the Ministry ECYS, the supplies will be divvied up and given to the Public Schools, which falls within the direct purview of the Ministry ECYS. The donation was made by Mr. Hazarie Ramoutar, representative of AUC, and presented to the Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport, Silveria Jacobs, Ruth Linger, acting Head of the Department of Education and Juliette Greene-Blijden, acting Head Division Public Education. The donation consisted of stationary supplies, such as envelopes, manila folders, copy paper, glue sticks and paper clips, to be used in the offices of the Public Schools. Many of the offices of the public schools sustained medium to heavy damage, therefore rendering many of the stationary supplies unusable. Minister Jacobs thanked Mr. Ramoutar and AUC for the donation rendered to the Public Schools, as it will serve as a great help to assist in getting the schools back on track.
