NV GEBE resumes billing post-Irma.

gebefillin26092017PHILIPSBURG:--- NV GEBE announced via press release today (October 24, 2017) that after the passage of Hurricane Irma its main focus was the restoration of electricity and water throughout the island. The company’s infrastructure and energy distribution system suffered great damages. NV GEBE managed to restore power to the first district one week after Hurricane Irma. Week by week districts are being powered up along with the restoration of water.

Due to Hurricane Irma, NV GEBE was forced to halt bill readings. However, after six weeks of recovery and restoration, reading of meters have been resumed. Due to the level of devastation NV GEBE was unable to conduct meter reading during the month of September. The reading / last billing cycle per district took place during the month of August. This billing cycle is a combined bill of two months of consumption, August through October.

The current bills reflects the usage as of the last reading in August up to September 6, 2017, and then from the moment power/water was restored till the reading in October. For clients still without power/water, the current reading as of October will be what the meter registered last on September 6, 2017, before turning off the power/water.
NV GEBE understands the situation of many of its clients and therefore will be offering a payment arrangement for those clients in need. Clients can send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or visit the Philipsburg branch.
