Michel Hyman to take up COO position as of May 1st
AIRPORT:--- Michel Hyman, the Operations Manager of PJIAE will take on the position of Chief Operations Officer (COO) in the interim as of May 1st, 2017 since the CEO of PJIAE Larry Donker has tendered his resignation effective as of May 1st. Donker who passed his retirement age about two years ago but the managing board of PJIAE asked Donker to stay on since the saga with former Director Regina Labega began two years ago. SMN News learned that the current board of PJIAE is restructuring the management board by appointing a complete management board with a CEO, CFO, and COO. Currently, interviews for the other positions which is the CEO and CFO are taking place since those positions have not been filled.
The first of the three to take up their new position is Michel Hyman as COO in the interim pending the completion of the screening process, Hyman will commence his duties as of May 1st, 2017. It should be noted that Hyman has been working in the Airport Operations for the past 24 years and he is currently the acting director of Airport Operations. SMN News learned that due to the appointment of Hyman to the COO position a key employee Anastacio Baker, the Manager of Quality Assurance plans to resign because of the appointment of Hyman. Sources say that Baker studied Airport Management and seemingly is more qualified for the job. However, it is not known if Baker already submitted his resignation letter.
Clarinda Migdala Chief of Administration of PJIAE has also submitted her resignation. It is understood that Migdala will be going on vacation as of Monday and will not return as she plans to enter the private sector.
Chairman and other members of the Supervisory Board of Directors of PJIAE could not be reached for confirmation.
