PHILIPSBURG:---- As the New Year is quickly approaching, The Simpson Bay Fireworks Foundation is making the final preparations to ring in the New Year with a bang! The main objective of the Simpson Bay Fireworks Foundation is to generate funds annually, in order to finance the New Year Fireworks displays in the Simpson Bay and Cole Bay areas. This initiative, which was started last year by local business owners, is meant to assist the residents and bars/restaurants in planning their New Year’s Eve festivities.
Aside from providing residents and visitors with spectacular firework entertainment, the fireworks show helps bars and restaurants in attracting customers in Simpson Bay and Cole Bay. Not only do these establishments generate more customers, their guests tend to stay longer to enjoy the spectacle.
The Simpson Bay Fireworks Foundation has been campaigning for this cause all year-round, as dozens of donation posts were set up at various businesses in the areas. All contributions will go towards the financing of this year’s and the following New Year’s Eve firework shows.
